How to use Code Context Builder
- Choose a project folder or add individual files from your device.
- Optionally enter extensions such as ts, js, json, md and set the maximum output size.
- Build the Markdown context file, inspect included and excluded paths, then review it for secrets before sharing.
What this tool does
Known credential files are excluded, but no filter finds every secret.
Example
Select a small TypeScript project, enter ts,md as the extension allow-list, and export one Markdown document with a file tree and fenced file contents.
Frequently asked questions
Which files are excluded?
Known credential paths, binary files, files above 1 MiB and content that matches the sensitive-data filters are skipped. The report lists included and excluded paths.
Can the filters guarantee that my output contains no secrets?
No. Automated rules cannot find every secret. Review the complete output before sharing; credential exclusions cannot be overridden.
